2025 Light Up The Town Results

First off I would like to thank the Children’s Discovery Museum for partnering with CTB Electronics to keep the Light up the Town Competition alive and well.  If you have the opportunity to make a donation to the Children’s Discovery Museum please do so.  All of your contributions are tax deductible and go so a long way to help this wonderful organization.
Special thanks to Fortier’s State Farm for making a generous donation to the Children’s Discovery Museum.
Special thanks to my secret five youth judges a.k.a. Santa’s Little Helpers.  They did a great job running around and viewing each an everyone of your displays.
Special thanks to Amarinda over at the Children’s Discovery Museum for hosting the Parade of Lights as well as co hosting the Light up the Town competition.
Next I would like to thank everyone of the participating residents and businesses in Waterville, Winslow, Oakland, Benton, Fairfield, and Vassalboro.  We had some wonderful displays this year.  All of you did a fantastic job.  This year we had 23 residents in the residents category, we had 2 synchronized lighting displays in that category and we had 3 business participate this year.  We were down by 2 this year from last year.  Hopefully next year we will get more participation.
The kid volunteer judges selected from the Cub Scouts consisted of some young boys and girls who took their time over the 2 week judging period.  The results came in Dec 22nd and now we have tallied everything.  Turns out we had a dead heat tie for 2nd and 3rd place.  The judges were then asked to deliberate on the 24th and we came to the following conclusion on the judging.
